About Us

What is Parity Studio and what do we offer?

Economics — or Political Economy — belongs to every citizen. It is unavoidable; it shapes how we live, what we earn, and what we can become. And yet, in practice, it has become the language of a privileged few. We want to make it accessible to the thinking citizens by telling stories on economy.

Our love for reading, researching, and sitting with hard problems is what drives us to think deeply before we make anything.

Economics is not as complex as economists make it. Beneath every dense theory are fundamental ideas — and behind those ideas are human stories. Finding those stories, and telling them honestly, is what Parity Studio is here to do.

The values we stand for

✽  Although all the human values apply, there are some that stand out for us

1

Sincerity

We mean what we say and we say it with heart.

There’s no performance here — only honest effort and real intent.

2

Clarity, over clutter

We choose simple and meaningful over showy and messy.

We aim to communicate ideas with ease, not overwhelm.

3

Crafted, not rushed

We take time to think, observe, discuss and produce.

Because what’s worth making is worth making well.

4

Meaningful creativity

Creativity isn’t noise — it’s purpose wrapped in imagination.

We explore ideas that matter and move people.

About - Parity is the brainchild of Utkarsh. He studied Economics in University and found it to be an impactful discipline with a limited reach. However, he did not like how Economics was taught and understood by the people involved around it. He believes that education is sought and not taught - whether it is Economy, Society or Polity, studying them in isolation without understanding the broader context and Philosophy behind it results in futility. He wanted to make Economics simple, accessible and engaging and that's how Parity came to be.

Outside of Parity, he works as an Operations Specialist in a private firm based in Vadodara, Gujarat, where he currently lives. He loves books, cooking food and having long conversations with friends.

My Message - Since school days we’ve been taught that to solve a problem we must first understand it. Similarly our lives, the society around us, and a country are no different. They are made of problems that need people who truly care to study and solve them.

Some become philosophers, sociologists, or economists. But understanding society is not just their job — it belongs to every thinking citizen. Ordinary people like us can offer original solutions to the problems of development if we are attentive enough.

Like a medicine, every policy helps one part and hurts another. Seeing life in its full complexity is the real work of modern men and women. And that is what we are trying to do at Parity.
